Vermona Mono Lancet ’15

Synthesizers & Sound Generators

The Vermona Mono Lancet ’15 is a monophonic analog desktop synthesizer in the category of rack-mounted synths. It is designed for lead, bass, and effects sounds, built around two oscillators, a noise generator, a low-pass filter, and a VCA to create warm, characterful tones. The unit emphasizes a straightforward, hands-on interface with dedicated controls for each parameter, aiming for quick sound realization without complex routing. Key features include two VCOs with multiple waveforms (VCO1: square, sawtooth, triangle; VCO2: square, sawtooth) plus a white noise source, a 24 dB/octave low-pass filter with resonant range, and a VCA with multiple modes (EG, GATE, ON). The DCOs offer octave ranges (8’, 16’, 32’ for VCO1; 4’, 8’, 16 for VCO2) and detune, with additional modulation options via MIDI (CC-based modulation wheel for pulse-width, pitch bend, and envelopes) and an LFO with several waveform choices. The device supports keytracking, an adjustable envelope generator, and auto-glide. Optional expansion via the Modular Dock Eurorack module adds additional connectivity to the synth’s sections. Typical usage scenarios include crafting classic analogue monosynth leads, basslines, and effect-centric sounds, with characteristics rooted in its hand-built, analogue signal path and its compact desktop footprint. A Modular Dock option allows integrating the unit into a larger modular setup for expanded routing and control. The Mono Lancet ’15 is manufactured in Vermona’s traditional hand-built style in Vogtland, emphasizing high-quality analogue construction. The unit is powered by an external DC 12 V, 1000 mA supply.

Vermona Modular Dock

Modular & Eurorack

The Modular Dock is a Eurorack extension for Vermona’s Mono Lancet and Mono Lancet ’15, designed to route the VCOs, VCF, and VCA from those synths to the outside world and expand their functionality within a modular system. It enables cross-modulation, pulsewidth and amplitude modulation, and offers additional modulation and external integration options to broaden the sound palette. With Modular Dock, you can extend the Mono Lancet’s sound engine by adding external VCAs, the fourMulator, VCDrive, or modules from other manufacturers, creating new sonic possibilities. The module acts as a bridge between Vermona’s compact core and a Eurorack setup, making it a potential starting point for modular exploration or a substantial upgrade to an existing system. Typical use scenarios include pairing the Dock with Mono Lancet ’15 to learn its new modulation capabilities, or using it to sculpt external sources through the Mono Lancet’s filter and envelopes. It supports inputs for FM and PWM on both VCOs, a VCF input, CV and VCA control, and 1V/octave CV and gate for the VCOs, along with dedicated outputs for VCOs and a 1V/Octave CV.

Vermona PERfourMER MKII

Synthesizers & Sound Generators

The Vermona PERfourMER MKII is a quad analog synthesizer in a rack format. It comprises four independent monophonic synth channels that can be linked or played together in various configurations, effectively yielding four voices or an ensemble of individual instruments. Each channel is built around a classic VCO/VCF/VCA signal path, starting from an analog oscillator with multiple waveforms and a noise source, through a 24 dB/Oct low-pass filter with adjustable resonance, and into a discrete VCA. Modulation options include a flexible LFO and an ADSR envelope generator for VCO, VCF, and VCA, with support for hard-sync and FM interactions between channels. The design supports diverse play modes (monophonic, duophonic, polyphonic) and synchronization between channels, enabling complex textures and layered sounds. Typical use cases include live performance and studio sound design, where a single PERfourMER MKII can function as four separate instruments or as a cohesive four-voice synth. The device offers MIDI control and optional CV/Gate inputs, with individual channel controls for each function, facilitating real-time manipulation and hands-on exploration of subtractive synthesis and evolving textures.

Vermona Retroverb Lancet
