The Sequential Prophet-6 is an analog synthesizer available in both keyboard and rack-mounted versions, released in 2015. It features a weight of 12.6 kg and dimensions of 813 x 323 x 117 mm. The synthesizer operates with a maximum power consumption of 30 watts and includes various connectors such as left/mono and right audio outputs, a headphone output, MIDI in, out, and thru ports, and USB for bidirectional MIDI communication. This synthesizer is equipped with two newly designed, discrete voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) per voice, allowing for a range of wave shapes and modulation options. It features a four-pole resonant low-pass filter inspired by the original Prophet-5, as well as a high-pass filter, ADSR envelope generators, and a polyphonic step sequencer with up to 64 steps. The Prophet-6 also includes built-in stereo analog distortion and digital effects such as reverb and delay, enhancing its versatility for various musical styles. With 500 user and 500 factory programs stored in 10 banks, the Prophet-6 provides ample memory for sound design. It is designed for both studio and live performance applications, making it suitable for a wide range of genres.
